Base Fire Sprinklers are start-up based in Manchester looking to break ground in the construction sector with a highly lucrative sprinkler system design proposition. The challenge

When the founder of Base Fire Sprinklers approached MBM, they had a determination to shake up the sprinkler industry and add credibility and authenticity to the marketplace. Their proposition was to offer the complete service offering; from design to implementation. Being trusted and credible supplier was important to drive new business and retain clients. Therefore, the brand needed to be stand out, professional and give a sense that Base were an establ;ished company that were experts in their field.

The brand

 

MBM held brand workshops and interviews with the founding members of base to establish what their brand should be. Word association exercises and other activities helped us deduce where Base wanted to be for their offering for the present and to compliment their growth trajectory.

MBM looked around the sector and the wider construction sector to gauge where and how to place the Base brand. This helped us understand what good looked like and fundamentally told us what trust looked like. 

Process of design refinement to come to a brand that is dynamic, professional and propels the business beyond it’s competition. The deep contrasting colour palette gives the brand gravitas and a really professional finish. Other brand elements like the choice of font, distinct illustrative style, adds a veneer of longevity and establishment.

The strong visual style echoes through the brand collateral, setting it apart from any competition we found within our competitive analysis. Base were given a suite of brand artefacts to help get them running like business cards, a brand guidelines document, social media assets and a company brochure and help get them embracing the brand integrating it into all of their online and offline communications.

The website

 

A cornerstone of Base's launch strategy was the development of a professional and effective website. With a new brand identity established, the website’s primary role was to serve as a digital storefront that would not only showcase their services but also build trust with potential clients and partners.

The focus was on creating a simple, intuitive platform where the new, strong branding could shine, and the core service offerings were communicated with clarity. Key objectives for the site included showcasing their expertise through detailed case studies and, most importantly, generating a steady stream of new business enquiries.

To ensure long-term flexibility and empower the client, the website was built on a user-friendly content management system (CMS). This gave the Base team the freedom to independently manage and update their own content. They can now easily upload new case studies to demonstrate their track record, write informative blog posts to establish themselves as industry thought leaders, and efficiently handle all incoming enquiries, giving them full control over their digital presence.

The impact

 

Since the launch, the impact of the new brand and website has been immediate and substantial. 

The new brand identity has successfully elevated Base Fire Sprinklers' proposition, giving them a critical edge in a competitive market. As a direct result, they are now consistently winning large-scale contracts across all corners of the UK. This success spans numerous different sectors, from commercial and residential properties to specialist medical and educational facilities, cementing their position as they rapidly become the chosen supplier for sprinkler systems in the industry.
